The RISEUP project gave its best during this year’s Bioem, the main international conference in the field of bioelectromagnetics. The conference was held in Crete from June 16th to 21st.

During the conference, three presentations were given by RISEUP members, showing the progress of the project and the results obtained until now.

Two presentations took place on Monday 17th and were delivered by the BioEMLab group with Prof. Liberti and Dr. Colella. Their presentations, entitled respectively “Microdosimetry of μsPEFs on advanced stem cells 3D models in microfibrils’ electrified scaffolds” and “Evaluating Electro Pulsed Bio-hybrid in vivo electrostimulation of spinal cord injury in rats using numerical dosimetry” showed the progress for the RISEUP WP5 Dosimetry of stimulations and neuro-functionalised model. Results of the microdosimetry on stem cells models and dosimetry on SCI rats model were presented. Microdosimetry and dosimetry are fundamental to understand the levels of the electric field induced on the cells and inside the lesion by the EPB and correlate this information with the experimental results.
